Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to handle processing, tracking, and administrative duties for inbound and outbound freight within the Import Purchasing Department in the United States.

The role may involve direct customer contact to resolve issues and drive sales opportunities. The candidate will assist buyers with order tracking, maintain tracking documents, and support reporting and market information gathering for trades, while ensuring timely processing of documents

Qualifications

Minimum Associate's degree or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Advanced knowledge in Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists buyers in the tracking and tracing of orders.
Maintains frequent communications with suppliers/providers to ensure efficiencies in information gathering.
Maintains all tracking documents/spreadsheets for inbound freight.
Assists in developing reports and compiling market information for trades.
Prepares various reports and correspondence on a regular basis.
Assists in processing reports, documents, and purchases in a timely manner.
Assists in cost/rate retrieval for international freight lanes.
Assists in assigned special projects.
Performs other duties as required.
