Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. in Los Angeles seeks an Operations Manager to oversee imports/exports via air/ocean, warehousing and customs brokerage, driving branch excellence.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage KPIs with dashboards, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with JAS processes, while traveling up to 15% as needed.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; 7+ years in freight forwarding and 5+ years in supervision; CargoWise experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of freight forwarding operations experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Experience handling air/ocean imports and exports.
• CargoWise (C1) experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced language proficiency (written and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Oversee imports/exports via air/ocean, warehousing, and customs brokerage.
• Ensure branch compliance with JAS processes and governmental standards.
• Meet KPIs and manage KPIs using dashboards.
• Coordinate with operations, sales, warehousing, and support teams to meet client needs.
• Lead branch workflow initiatives using PowerBI and improve staff productivity.
• Provide coaching and mentoring; conduct performance evaluations.
• Travel up to 15% as required.
