Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to establish and execute strategies for domestic and international freight movements. You will recruit, develop and motivate staff to deliver world-class customer experiences and meet client expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, negotiation skills, and proven experience in freight forwarding. You will drive performance metrics, mentor a global team, and collaborate with service providers to expand international product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years international freight forwarding, airfreight and ocean freight experience.
• 3+ years P&L management experience and operations supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the station's operations strategy for AIT.
• Ensure processes and metrics to meet growth, service, and profitability goals.
• Manage carriers to maximize value and service against objectives.
• Negotiate freight forwarding carrier agreements with strong execution.
• Ensure providers meet SLA terms and service expectations.
• Track performance and improve efficiencies and lead times.
• Build rapport with clients and develop new opportunities.
