Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the station’s operations strategy for domestic and international freight movements, build and mentor a capable team, and ensure excellent service to our customers. You will coordinate with carriers and internal teams to optimize performance, manage SLAs, and drive growth across global product lines in a dynamic, global logistics environment.

The role requires leadership, negotiation skills, and hands-on experience in freight

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in logistics or equivalent experience is required.
• 5+ years of international freight forwarding experience required.
• 3+ years of P&L experience and supervisory experience required.
• 3+ years experience in a diversified freight forwarding industry preferred.
• IATA certified and DG certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the station's operations strategy for AIT.
• Ensure processes and metrics drive growth, service, and profitability.
• Manage carrier relationships to optimize value and service.
• Negotiate freight forwarding carrier agreements and ensure SLA adherence.
• Track performance and improve efficiency to reduce lead times.
• Build rapport with clients and pursue new opportunities.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to staff in a global environment.
• Support key account operations and ensure reliable service.
