Job summary

PGIM is seeking an Analyst for the Fixed Income Bond Operations team in Newark, NJ. You will provide middle-office support across the trade lifecycle and work with custodians, brokers, and external counterparties in a hybrid setup.

The role requires 1–3 years in middle-office ops, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of trade confirmations and settlements. Collaborative and detail-focused professionals thrive here.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in middle-office operations or trade support.
• Experience with trade confirmations and settlements preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables; macros a plus.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational and technical support for Global Confirmations and Settlements activity.
• Facilitate trade flow by ensuring transactions are matched, confirmed, and settled.
• Monitor daily trade-status reporting, including prematching and settlement exceptions.
• Research and resolve trade discrepancies, settlement fails, and claims with internal teams and counterparties.
• Serve as a liaison between operations and external custodian banks, broker-dealers, and other participants.
• Support settlement activity across US and international depositories (DTCC, Fed, Euroclear, Clearstream).
• Identify and elevate issues that may affect operations and take action to reduce risk.
• Analyze activity and key operational metrics to identify trends and control gaps.
• Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
• Support local projects and process-improvement initiatives strengthening controls.
