Job summary

FMH Conveyors, part of the Duravant family, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support Lifecycle Services. You will perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, repairs, audits, and training at customer sites, with significant travel.

Qualifications

• AAS or BS in Mechatronics, EE, EET, EECS, or Industrial Electronics is desired.
• 3 years’ experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components, and HMI in field service.
• 3 years’ experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, emergency service and repairing electronics and mechanical machine problems in the field.
• AB CompactLogix PLC programming including minor modifications to PLC programs and accessing networks through PLC to troubleshoot issues.
• Interpret complex technical information involving mechanics and electronics, including schematics.
• VFD parameter configuration and servo drives/motors configurations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for a US passport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field service calls at customer sites for installation, commissioning, Emergency repair, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits, and training.
• Perform mechanical and electrical modifications including PLC programs and servo drive configuration.
• Explain job scope and completed work to customer contacts and train customer personnel on operations and maintenance.
• Aim to meet service delivery goals: response time, first-time fix, and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with field service management and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Provide reliability feedback to quality engineering and collaborate on improvements.
• Comply with industry, company, and customer safety practices.
• Complete paperwork, timesheets, CRM entries, expenses promptly.
