Job summary

FMH Conveyors is seeking a Field Service Technician to join Lifecycle Services, responsible for installation, start-up, preventive maintenance, repairs, audits, and training at customer sites with up to 80% travel.

Qualifications include a BS/AS in Mechatronics or related field and 3 years of experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic systems, and PLC/servo drives; AB CompactLogix RSLogix experience and a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components, and HMIs.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronics and mechanical problems in the field.
• AB CompactLogix PLC and RSLogix500/5000 programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for a US passport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field service calls at customer sites for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits, and training.
• Perform mechanical and electrical modifications including PLC programs and servo drive configuration.
• Conduct site visit meetings with customer contacts and train customer personnel on operations.
• Achieve service delivery goals including response time, first time fix, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure paperwork, timesheets, CRM entries, expenses, and other admin tasks are completed promptly.
• Periodically provide technical support at Lifecycle Services headquarters.
