Job summary

FMH Conveyors, a Duravant company, seeks a Field Service Technician for Lifecycle Services to support installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, repairs, audits, and training at customer sites across the US. Travel up to 80% is expected.

You will perform mechanical and electrical modifications, PLC programming, and site trainings while ensuring safety and high-quality service.

Qualifications

AAS or BS in Mechatronics, EE, EET, EECS, or Industrial Electronics is desired.
3 years’ experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components, and HMI.
3 years’ experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, emergency service and repairing electronics and mechanical problems in the field.
AB CompactLogix PLC and RSLogix500/5000 programming experience including minor modifications to PLC programs and networking.
Interpret complex technical information involving mechanics and electronics, including schematics.
VFD parameter configuration and servo drives and motors configurations.
Valid drivers’ license and ability to qualify for a US passport.

Responsibilities

Conduct field service calls at customer sites to provide installation, commissioning, emergency repair, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits, and training services.
Perform mechanical and electrical modifications including PLC programs and servo drive configuration.
Conduct site visit meetings with customer contacts to include explanation of job scope and work completed and conduct training with customer’s personnel to ensure understanding of the sequence of operations, proper functionality, and general maintenance of equipment.
Achieve service delivery goals including response time, first time fix, and customer satisfaction rates.
Communicate effectively with field service management and internal service support team to efficiently resolve customer issues.
Provide equipment reliability feedback to quality engineering and collaborate on improvements.
Comply to industry, company, and customer safe working practices.
Ensure paperwork, timesheets, CRM entries, expenses, and other paperwork functions are done promptly, on time and to a high quality.
Periodically perform technical support, final assurance, or other duties at Lifecycle Services headquarters.
