Job summary

Astec is a global manufacturing company providing infrastructure development equipment. The technician role ensures proper installation and operation of designated Astec products, including installation, startup, training, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, generating field reports, and traveling to customer sites to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some related work experience preferred.
• 0–2 years in construction/manufacturing or related fields.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and motor controls.
• Familiarity with logic controls; PLCs a must.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install designated Astec products under supervision.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Train customer staff on operation and maintenance.
• Generate field service reports for daily activities.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing on issues.
• Travel extensively to customer sites; provide after-hours support as needed.
