Job summary

ASTEC is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission startup, train customers, and maintain Astec products at customer sites. You will troubleshoot electrical/electronic/control systems, read schematics, and ensure proper operation in the field.

You will travel extensively, including international assignments, and coordinate with engineering, sales, and manufacturing to deliver quality service and support. A high school diploma and 0–2 years' related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some related work experience is a plus.
• 0–2 years in construction, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Willingness to travel extensively domestically and internationally on short notice.
• Experience in reading electrical/mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities; capable of independent work.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission startup, train, and maintain designated Astec products.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and control systems.
• Conduct customer operator training on startup sequences and programming basics.
• Generate field service reports and coordinate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Provide 24/7 emergency support as needed; travel as required.
