Job summary

Astec seeks a Field Service Technician to ensure proper installation, commissioning, startup, and training of designated products. You will troubleshoot, repair, and consult with engineering to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

Extensive travel is required, including nights and weekends as needed. You will train customer staff, complete service reports, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and timely resolution of issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic circuits and blueprints.
• Willingness to travel extensively domestically and internationally on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Astec products under guidance.
• Train customer staff on startup, troubleshooting, and operation.
• Generate written field service reports for daily activities.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing on issues and warranty.
• Be available for emergency dispatch; 24/7 support.
