Job summary

Astec is seeking a field service professional to provide product and technical support for roadbuilding equipment. You will direct activities of technicians, coordinate installations, startups, and repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction across assigned product lines.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in troubleshooting and installing heavy equipment, with strong mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to travel to customer sites for hands-on training and service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years’ experience with troubleshooting, repair and installation of heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background with teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers on installation issues, repair time and startup expectations.
• Maintain equipment uptime and meet customer expectations for startups and repairs.
• Travel to customer sites for startups, maintenance and training.
• Train customer personnel in installation and maintenance of Astec equipment.
• Write and submit complete construction reports to the department.
