Job summary

KLA is seeking a Product Installation Engineer to lead on‑time installation and qualification of sophisticated capital equipment at customer sites worldwide. You will ensure smooth handoff, maintain predictable cycle times, and secure warranty sign‑offs while representing KLA with customers.

The role requires independent operation with guidance from senior IEs and extensive travel both domestically and internationally, across multiple cultures and teams.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree with related work experience required.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, and mechanical/electro‑optical systems.
• Experience with high‑vacuum systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations meet schedule and quality standards
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
• Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of complex semiconductor capital equipment
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership
• Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process
• Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time
• Secure warranty sign‑off on newly installed tools
