Job summary

KLA is seeking a Product Installation Engineer to lead on-time installation and qualification of sophisticated capital equipment at customer sites worldwide. You will represent KLA, ensure smooth handoffs, and drive customer satisfaction through expert installation and documentation.

Responsibilities include installation, calibration, and cross-functional coordination with regions and engineering. Candidates should have strong electronics/optics knowledge, be highly analytical, and travel

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with 0 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 2 years related experience.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electromechanical and electrooptical systems.
• Experience with high-vacuum systems strongly preferred.
• Comfort with Windows/Unix environments and networking.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of complex semiconductor capital equipment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership.
• Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process.
• Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
• Secure warranty signoff on newly installed tools.
• Operate independently following documented procedures and work with increasing autonomy.
