Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an External Manufacturing Sourcing Manager to optimize value across Midland, MI; Houston, TX; Terneuzen, NL; and Tarragona, ESP. You will define sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and lead supplier qualification, RFIs/RFPs, and subsequent agreements to deliver sustained value for Dow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian rank or 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to clarify the scope of purchase and service requirements.
• Drive value from the market using business acumen and best practices to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assess and manage risk of market, supplier, and purchasing activities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that meet safety, qualification and compliance needs.
• Lead supplier qualification, RFIs, RFQ/RFPs, competitive bidding and negotiations.
• Analyze complex problems and drive improvements across the workgroup.
• Negotiate and implement commercial agreements aligned with regional strategies.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluation and SRM to improve KPIs.
• Use influential leadership to elevate team performance.
