Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an External Manufacturing Sourcing Manager to develop and align sourcing strategies, leverage supplier relationships, and negotiate with suppliers to optimize value across Dow's external manufacturing network.

The role may be based in Midland, Houston, Terneuzen, or Tarragona and involves leading sourcing projects and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include risk assessment, supplier qualification, RFI/RFQ processes, and milestone-driven supplier performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian ranking, or 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Clarify purchase scope and service requirements with stakeholders.
• Drive value from the market using market knowledge and best practices to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assess and manage risk in market, supplier and purchases.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for competitive, reliable purchases meeting safety and compliance.
• Lead supplier qualification, RFIs/RFPs, competitive bidding, bid evaluation and negotiations.
• Analyze problems, evaluate solutions and improve processes.
• Negotiate and implement commercial agreements in line with regional strategies.
• Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluation and drive SRM for continuous improvement.
• Lead and elevate team performance through influential leadership.
