Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. seeks an Export Specialist to manage export documentation and coordination for air and ocean shipments. You will work with customers, agents and authorities to ensure compliant, timely execution of export activities and provide problem-solving support.

The role requires at least 3 years of export experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and knowledge of US customs procedures. Travel may be required and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience handling Exports (air and/or ocean) or equivalent education/experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages preferred.
• Knowledge of US customs laws, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate the necessary documentation for export activities.
• Coordinate cargo pickup/transfer and monitor status.
• Communicate with authorities, customers and suppliers to ensure lawful operations.
• Obtain spot rates when necessary and manage rate requests.
• Communicate with overseas agents and clients on shipment status and documentation.
• Track shipments and update customers/agents on progress.
• Create and maintain customer files and invoices; audit for accuracy.
