Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage export operations from East London. You will coordinate bookings, prepare documentation, and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery across borders.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in logistics or export operations, strong knowledge of Incoterms, and proficiency with logistics software and Excel. You will collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in logistics, freight forwarding, or export operations.
• Solid knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms and customs.
• Experience with export documentation and compliance.
• Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office, esp. Excel.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Team player with proactive problem-solving.
• Hybrid work requires on-site coordination in East London and remote tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of export logistics, including booking shipments, managing documentation, and tracking cargo.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers to ensure smooth transit.
• Prepare and process export documentation, such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
• Monitor shipment progress and address delays or issues.
• Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
• Maintain records and generate reports.
• Resolve discrepancies related to shipments.
• Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs.
• Manage relationships with key logistics service providers.
