Job summary

Teamwork Selection Ltd. in Barnwood, Gloucestershire, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the end-to-end inbound supply chain for the UK and USA.

You will coordinate international shipments, customs clearance and warehouse deliveries to ensure on-time, in-full, on-budget results. The role requires strong organisational and analytical skills, plus experience with Excel and IT systems; familiarity with Brightpearl is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, international freight, importing or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of sea and air freight, customs clearance and international shipping documentation.
• Understanding of commodity and tariff codes, import duty, VAT and Incoterms.
• Strong organisational and multi‑shipment management abilities.
• Excellent analytical and budget/reporting skills.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel; Brightpearl experience advantageous.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Willingness to own the role and develop knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international sea and air freight shipments, including quotes, booking and tracking.
• Manage container shipments and deliveries from ports to UK/USA warehouses.
• Oversee customs clearance, import documentation, tariff codes, duty and VAT.
• Monitor shipment schedules, chase suppliers and communicate delivery updates.
• Coordinate warehouse bookings and resolve discrepancies, shortages and damaged goods.
• Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, brokers and suppliers.
• Monitor freight expenditure, review invoices and landed cost calculations.
• Provide regular reports on delivery performance, lead times and costs.
• Ensure shipping documents and declarations are accurate and compliant.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Finance, Warehouse and Quality Control teams to resolve issues.
