Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in a hybrid Elgin, IL setting to support international shipping and export compliance. The role focuses on the efficient movement of goods and adherence to global trade regulations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with export documentation, trade compliance, and coordination with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agencies. This temporary contract offers a hybrid schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute international shipping and export compliance activities.
• File export declarations through ACE/AESDirect and obtain ITNs.
• Conduct Restricted and Denied Party Screening per EAR/ITAR.
• Prepare and maintain shipping docs: invoices, air bills, bills of lading, COOs.
• Manage cross-border shipments US-Canada-Mexico (USMCA/CARM).
• Ensure compliance with C-TPAT and dangerous goods rules (lithium-ion).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs, and internal stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot delays and customs holds to ensure on-time delivery.
