Job summary

Sims Metal is seeking an Export Booking Specialist to coordinate international shipment bookings, ensuring timely and accurate export logistics. This role serves as a liaison between yards, customers, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to secure space, prepare documents, and maintain shipment accuracy from booking to departure.

Responsibilities include securing bookings, monitoring schedules, and managing documentation, while collaborating across operations, sales, and finance.

Qualifications

• Experience in export logistics, freight forwarding, or international shipping.
• Strong understanding of INCOTERMS, export regulations, and carrier requirements.
• Proficiency with booking portals and logistics software.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure export bookings with ocean carriers based on sales & customer requirements.
• Monitor vessel schedules, capacity, and adjust bookings as needed.
• Prepare and verify export documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Track shipment milestones and provide status updates to internal teams.
