Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Texas Global unit seeks a Sponsored and Exchange Program Coordinator to manage immigration and advising for international sponsored and exchange students.

You'll oversee student data systems, coordinate with departments, and mentor graduate assistants to ensure compliance and high-quality service for scholars and students. This role is located on UT Austin's Austin campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience working with international students in a higher education environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage DHS Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) responsibilities for sponsored and exchange international students.
• Oversee student information systems with data integrity and cross-system synchronization under federal regulations.
• Develop integrated support frameworks addressing sponsored/exchange student needs within international student services.
• Supervise and develop graduate assistants for the student advising team.
• Collaborate with ISSS leadership to interpret immigration regulations and university policies.
• Serve as the primary resource for challenging exchange and sponsored student questions.
