Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Sponsored and Exchange Program Coordinator to support international students within Texas Global. You will coordinate immigration processes, oversee critical information systems, and liaise with departments to ensure smooth student transitions.

Experience with F-1/J-1 programs, strong intercultural communication, and a commitment to high-quality service are essential. This role is based at UT Austin's main campus in Austin, Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience working with international students in a higher education environment.
• Experience working with and advising F-1 international students and J-1 exchange visitors.
• Strong communication, initiative, and ability to work in a fast-paced team setting.

Responsibilities

• Sponsored and Exchange Administrative Coordination, manage applications as DHS DSO and ARO for sponsored/exchange students.
• Oversee student information systems, ensure data integrity and cross-system synchronization with regulations.
• Develop support frameworks for sponsored/exchange needs and smooth transitions from admission to advising.
• Supervise and develop graduate assistants within the student advising team.
• Collaborate with ISSS leadership to interpret immigration regulations and university policies.
