Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Global Engagement serves as the university's international engagement arm, supporting over 9,000 international students and scholars and coordinating education abroad programs.

We are seeking a Sponsored and Exchange Program Coordinator to manage DHS-DSO/ARO duties, oversee student data systems, and collaborate with campus partners to ensure compliant immigration processes and strong student advising support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience with international students in a higher education environment.
• Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions and take initiative while working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage application and immigration processes as DHS Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for sponsored and exchange international students.
• Oversee student information systems, ensuring data integrity and cross-system synchronization with regulations.
• Develop support frameworks addressing sponsored/exchange student needs and transitions from admission to advising.
• Supervise and mentor graduate assistants on the student advising team.
• Collaborate with ISSS leadership to ensure interpretation and application of immigration regulations and university policies.
