Job summary

Hyve is launching LegalTechTalk USA in Miami, seeking an experienced Event Director who will own the brand’s performance, manage P&L and lead the global events team.

You will partner with founders, portfolio heads and the strategy team to shape the event, build key relationships, and drive revenue and innovation while ensuring an exceptional attendee experience.

Hybrid role with global reach, multi-million budget oversight, and a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event management or an adjacent industry, with strong project delivery experience.
• Commercially minded and results-driven, with experience managing multi-million-pound budgets and forecasts.
• Experienced leader of multidisciplinary teams, able to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment.
• Strong senior stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, including the ability to deliver difficult messages constructively.
• Highly organised, numerate and detail-oriented, with excellent planning and project management skills.
• Agile, resourceful and comfortable prioritising multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strategic thinker who can translate priorities into clear, tangible actions.
• Curious, quick to learn and focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
• Self-aware, empathetic and low ego, with a collaborative leadership style that builds trust and strong relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills, resilience under pressure and a positive, can-do approach.
• Good understanding of relevant market and event industry trends.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, HubSpot and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Leading on strategy, planning, delivery, industry positioning & ensuring financial budgets are achieved.
• Leading weekly progress meetings & reporting up to the Senior Leadership Team.
• Being accountable for the event’s overall performance targets, including the P+L.
• Working with founders and strategy teams to develop the event’s value proposition and strategy.
• Build and maintain key relationships with associations, media, and key accounts.
• Coaching the global team to be goal oriented and high performing.
• Contributing to overall strategy as part of the Event Leadership team.
• Ensuring thorough customer experience from prospect through event execution.
• Staying informed on industry trends and engaging with the larger event industry.
• Translate industry needs into the event’s value proposition, plan, and messaging.
