Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Global Category Manager for Electronics to lead global category strategies across multiple sites. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, logistics and commercial teams to drive value through strategic sourcing and supplier optimization.

The role requires deep knowledge of electronics manufacturing, a track record of cost reduction, and the ability to navigate cross-regional negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of experience electronics manufacturing/sourcing.
• No relocation; must reside within 50 miles of Beachwood OH, Charlotte NC, Highland IL, Menomonee Falls WI, Moon Township PA, Raleigh NC or Syracuse NY.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead global category and sourcing strategies to improve cost, DPO, supplier diversity, working capital, quality, delivery, and service performance.
• Develop enterprise sourcing initiatives to increase leverage and deliver sustainable cost savings.
• Negotiate and manage strategic supplier contracts to maximize value and ensure supply continuity.
• Define and govern category strategies using market intelligence, should-cost analysis, RFQs, e-auctions.
• Guide regional and cross-functional teams to achieve procurement and transformation goals.
• Drive supplier performance management and annual business reviews with key suppliers.
• Benchmark and implement procurement best practices for efficiency and compliance.
• Partner with leaders and manufacturing sites to ensure uninterrupted supply at the most competitive total cost.
