Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Global Category Manager to lead the direct materials category strategy across Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, and Electronics portfolios.

You will own a multi-hundred-million-dollar annual spend, drive cost competitiveness, supplier innovation, and supply continuity while coordinating with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to enable mass production of new and existing products globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in a related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading global procurement programs.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, electrical, and/or mechanical components preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive global category portfolio strategy and growth.
• Lead global sourcing events, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Develop multi-year sourcing roadmaps, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Management, and Finance.
• Lead supplier relationships and executive business reviews at the global level.
• Ensure total cost of ownership optimization while balancing risk and quality.
