Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Global Category Manager to lead direct-material procurement across Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, and Electronics categories. You will own global strategies, drive growth, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Finance to ensure a resilient supply base for current and new products.

The role manages a $250M-$400M annual spend, leads sourcing events, negotiates contracts, and delivers cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business required.
• 8–10 years procurement experience in global categories (electronics, electro-mechanical, etc.).
• Experience leading category strategies and supplier networks.

Responsibilities

• Own a global category portfolio and develop strategies to enable growth and cost competitiveness.
• Lead global sourcing events, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Drive cost improvements, TCO optimization, and supplier development across regions.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Finance to ensure resilient supply.
