Job summary

Renesas seeks a Principal EDA/CAD Engineer to lead the global engineering compute and design-data-management environment. This role combines hands-on CAD engineering with responsibility for compute infrastructure, Perforce/IPLM-based data management, and scalable workflows across distributed teams.

You will work with CAD, engineering and IT groups to define requirements, automate processes and maintain documentation, ensuring robust, scalable environments for semiconductor design.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in EDA/CAD engineering or semiconductor design infrastructure.
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge and experience with engineering compute environments.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting; ability to automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for engineering compute infrastructure and CAD environments.
• Support the development of globally consistent Linux-based engineering environments.
• Define requirements for compute, storage and supporting infrastructure; assist migrations of legacy environments.
