Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking an experienced Principal EDA/CAD Engineer to provide technical leadership for the global engineering compute and design-data-management environment.

You will combine hands-on CAD engineering with responsibility for compute infrastructure, Perforce/IPLM-based data management, project/workspace methodologies, automation, documentation and training. Qualifications

• Significant experience in EDA/CAD engineering or semiconductor design infrastructure.
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge and experience with engineering compute environments.
• Experience with Perforce Helix (P4) or comparable enterprise version-control systems.
• Methodics IPLM or equivalent IP lifecycle-management experience.
• Strong Python and/or shell scripting skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and technical communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for engineering compute infrastructure and CAD environments.
• Support globally consistent Linux-based engineering environments and storage requirements.
• Own Perforce Helix/IPLM-based data-management methodologies and tooling integration.
• Develop standardized project/workspace environments and Cadence tool configurations.
• Create automation for engineering workflows and data-management processes.
• Migrate legacy data and environments to Perforce/IPLM-based solutions.
• Document technical guides, train users and support onboarding.
