Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. seeks a Principal EDA/CAD Engineer to lead the global compute and design-data-management environment.

You will own compute infrastructure, environment standardization, and data-management methodologies, working with CAD and IT teams to scale and automate design data across distributed teams. You will design and implement scalable Linux-based environments, integrate Perforce/IPLM with EDA tools, and drive project/workspace consistency while enabling efficient transition

Qualifications

• Significant experience in EDA/CAD engineering or semiconductor design infrastructure.
• Strong Python or shell scripting skills.
• Experience with Perforce Helix (P4) or comparable enterprise version-control/data-management technologies.
• Experience with semiconductor EDA workflows.
• Excellent troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for engineering compute infrastructure and CAD environments.
• Develop and evolve Linux-based engineering environments.
• Define requirements for compute, storage and supporting engineering infrastructure.
• Support Perforce/IPLM integration with EDA tools and environments.
• Develop scalable data-management methodologies for IP creation, versioning and lifecycle management.
• Create reusable project/workspace configurations and onboarding processes.
• Develop automation for engineering environment and data-management workflows.
• Document and train teams on best practices and tools.
