Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Principal EDA/CAD Engineer to provide technical leadership for global engineering compute and design-data-management environments.

The role blends hands-on CAD engineering with responsibility for compute infrastructure, Perforce/IPLM-based data management, project/workspace methodologies, automation, documentation, training and engineering support. You will work with engineering, CAD and infrastructure teams to develop scalable solutions for managing

Qualifications

• Significant experience in EDA/CAD engineering or design-data-management.
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge.
• Experience with Perforce Helix or similar enterprise version-control/data-management technologies.
• IPLM lifecycle experience or equivalent.
• Experience with semiconductor EDA workflows.
• Strong Python and shell scripting skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex engineering infrastructure issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for engineering compute infrastructure and CAD environments.
• Develop scalable Linux-based engineering environments.
• Define compute, storage and infrastructure requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering to meet design requirements.
• Lead migration and consolidation of legacy engineering environments.
• Create automation for engineering environment and data-management workflows.
• Develop documentation and training materials for compute and data-management environments.
• Support onboarding of projects and engineering teams.
• Maintain stability during transitions and legacy support.
