Renesas is seeking an experienced Principal EDA/CAD Engineer to lead the design-data-management ecosystem and engineering compute infrastructure on a global scale. You will blend hands-on CAD engineering with strategic infrastructure, automation and documentation to support distributed semiconductor design teams.

Lead Perforce Helix/IPLM-based data-management practices, define scalable environments, and drive integration with EDA tools.

Formación

• Significant experience in EDA/CAD engineering or engineering compute environments.
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge.
• Experience with Perforce Helix (P4) or comparable enterprise version-control/data-management technologies.
• IPLM or equivalent IP lifecycle-management experience.
• Experience with semiconductor EDA workflows.
• Strong Python and/or shell scripting skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Ability to work effectively across engineering and IT/infrastructure organizations.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership for engineering compute infrastructure and CAD environments.
• Support development of globally consistent Linux-based engineering environments.
• Define requirements for compute, storage and supporting engineering infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT/IS and engineering teams to meet design requirements.
• Support migration and consolidation of legacy engineering environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and engineering-environment issues.
• Own Perforce Helix and IPLM-based design-data-management methodologies.
• Support Perforce/IPLM integration with EDA tools and environments.
• Develop project/workspace management standards and onboarding methods.
• Automate engineering environment and data-management workflows with Python and shell scripts.
• Create reusable methodologies for project creation and onboarding.
• Maintain scalable CAD infrastructure processes and transitions from legacy platforms.
