Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while coordinating across time zones and stakeholders.

You will mentor engineers, drive Agile delivery, and shape solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern UI frameworks. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of technology software development experience with leadership of delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot; microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Angular or React and guiding full-stack decisions.
• Experience on a major cloud platform; building and deploying enterprise apps.
• CI/CD, container deployments, unit/integration tests, and code-quality gates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and distributed teams across locations.
• Mentorship and coaching skills for engineering teams.
• Experience with Kafka, Splunk, Hadoop/Spark/Flink for data-processing and observability.
• Ability to manage risks, communicate with clients, and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, troubleshooting, and technical proof-of-concepts.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and UI frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Coordinate distributed teams across time zones and ensure clear ownership.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering practice improvements.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; communicate progress and escalations.
• Promote secure development, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness.
