Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Subcontracts Mgmt. to lead AV’s subcontract organization and ensure suppliers meet cost, schedule, and technical goals.

This role partners with Supply Chain to implement policies and best practices while serving as the primary point of contact for contractual communications across AV. The role requires extensive DoD/subcontracting experience, strong negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of ITAR, DFARS, and FAR. Occasional travel within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain subcontract specifications, SOWs, and terms with key subcontractors
• Support strategic proposals, RFIs/RFPs, and related documents
• Negotiate subcontracts, select subcontractors, and administer awards and orders
• Monitor performance to meet cost, schedule, technical, and contractual objectives
• Develop subcontract policies with Contracts, Finance, and QA
• Collaborate with program team to solve complex problems
• Serve as focal point for all contractual communications and resolution with AV departments
• Manage change control and coordinate with program management to mitigate risks
• Travel as required
• Other duties as assigned
