Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Technical Training Manager to lead a new Full-Time Training Team for Data Center Operations.

You will oversee trainers, develop initial training, maintain labs, and drive continuous improvement across DCEO, DCO, ID, Decommissioning, and Logistics. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, implement standardized processes, and measure training impact while traveling up to 25% to deliver programs across sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• 2+ years of direct people management, including managing managers or senior individual contributors experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience in project, program or product management with focus on technical education programs
• Experience in operations management
• 4+ years of leading training, technical instruction, or maintenance operations programs at a regional or multi-site level experience
• 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• Experience in curriculum development for international technical support organizations

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical trainers
• Manage the training programs for Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO), Data Center Operations (DCO), Infrastructure Delivery (ID), Decommissioning, and Logistics
• Implement standardized training processes that adapt to audience needs
• Create and track performance metrics for training effectiveness
• Establish communication channels between Full Time Training Team (FTT) and stakeholders
• Drive innovation through AI technology and agile methodologies
• Support the design comprehensive learning materials including exercises, tutorials, and assessments
• Measure and report training program impact
• Travel approximately 25% of the time
