Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Services team is seeking a Network Engineer for Deployment & Support to design, deploy, and maintain large-scale data center networks across multiple locations. This role collaborates with software, design, and operations teams to build scalable, reliable network infrastructure supporting Meta's global services.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and experience with TCP/IP, routing, switching, fiber optics, and data center networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing large-scale data center networks.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optics.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on data center projects.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP routing and switching, and optical transport.
• Familiarity with data center construction and commissioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and implementation of large-scale data center networks across multiple geographic locations.
• Research, develop and deploy technologies to scale data centers and optimize deployments.
• Initiate and lead strategic initiatives driving efficiency and standardization of data centers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to develop features and influence networking.
• Influence future iterations of data center and network designs for seamless integration of new infrastructure.
• Actively participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) for network infrastructure.
• Partner with software teams to develop tooling to provision, manage, monitor and troubleshoot networks.
• Create network design packages for deployment teams; travel 25–40% as required.
