Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Services (ENS) team is hiring a Network Engineer to deploy and support production networks across data centers, edge, and CDN globally. You will work with multiple vendors, implement upgrades, and create robust install packages while maintaining accurate documentation.

The role requires 6+ years in large-scale networks, multi-vendor experience, and strong routing protocol knowledge. A data center focus and 24x7 on-call readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years designing, deploying and operating large-scale networks.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, VRRP).
• TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS; IPv4/IPv6 knowledge.
• Multi-vendor environment with hands-on networking hardware.
• Physical infrastructure design including cabling and fiber.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage network infrastructure in data center campuses.
• Collaborate with partner teams and vendors to ensure regional network reliability.
• Schedule maintenance including upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning of production networks.
• Create deployment install packages and maintain documentation and asset databases for network equipment.
• Establish and implement global best practices and scalable network designs.
• Support integration of new hardware and software platforms into the network.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support network 24x7.
• Travel 10-30% based on project.
