Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Service team seeks a Network Engineer to deploy and support production networks across datacenters, CDN, and regional backbone. You will implement and document network designs, collaborate with vendors, and ensure reliability 24/7.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years' experience in large-scale networks, with BGP/IS-IS/MPLS routing and multi-vendor exposure. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

4+ years designing, deploying, and operating large-scale networks.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting routing/switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, VRRP).
Working knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, DHCP/DNS.
Experience in multi-vendor environments with hands-on gear.
Ability to design physical infrastructure including cabling and fiber.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines.
Experience in global team settings with limited supervision.
Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent before joining Meta.

Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and manage all network infrastructure on the data center campus.
Collaborate with partners and vendors for day-to-day network reliability.
Schedule maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and decommissions.
Create deployment packages; maintain as-built docs and asset database.
Set global best practices; help design scalable network solutions.
Support testing and integration of new hardware/software platforms.
Participate in on-call rotation to support regional networks 24/7.
Travel up to 10%, up to 30% for projects.
