Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Customer Integrity & Threat Detection Manager (Starlink) in Redmond, WA to detect, disrupt and investigate illicit use while protecting customer privacy. The role emphasizes preventing abuse, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and applying advanced investigative techniques.

The candidate will lead efforts to assess risks, design solutions, and ensure compliance with legal obligations, including ITAR considerations. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years in lieu of a degree in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations.
• 6+ years with data querying languages (SQL), scripting (Python), geospatial tools (ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (R).
• 6+ years investigating illicit operators (fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or related activities).
• 3+ years owning and driving improvements in processes, technology, or other business areas to improve customer integrity or related capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks.
• Design and develop solutions to priority risks. Own their deployment and effectiveness in concert with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Represent the team in cross-functional groups and in appropriate areas of expertise.
• Establish yourself as an expert in 2+ relevant investigative techniques, technologies or abuse prevention strategies.
• Reactively investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods and activities.
• Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations.
• Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach.
