Job summary

Booking Holdings is seeking a highly motivated Legal Counsel, Global Compliance & Ethics, to lead risk assessments, develop and implement compliance policies, and advise senior stakeholders across multiple brands. The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams and external counsel, with a focus on anti-bribery, conflicts of interest, and third-party risk management.

The position reports to the Director, Compliance & Ethics Counsel and operates within our hybrid model (two days in-office).

Qualifications

• J.D. degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of relevant legal or compliance experience, including top law firm experience.
• Subject matter expertise in core compliance and ethics areas, including anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, and third-party risk management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a polished and professional demeanor and demonstrated ability to be clear and concise when communicating with global stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent judgment, critical thinking, innovation and creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual Legal & Compliance risk assessment across all Booking Holdings brands.
• Provide practical advice and guidance to stakeholders to ensure compliance with internal policies and laws.
• Leverage AI and technologies to drive innovation in the compliance program.
• Develop, implement, and update compliance policies, procedures, and training initiatives.
• Prepare presentations and reports on compliance programming for senior management.
