Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks an experienced Ethics & Compliance Counsel to join our global compliance organization. This role advances a culture of integrity and ethical conduct across the enterprise.

The role partners with HR, Internal Audit, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management and business leaders to develop and enhance the ethics framework. It requires strong legal judgment and the ability to build trusted relationships organization-wide.

Qualifications

• JD required and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of legal experience with at least 1 year in ethics and compliance.
• Experience supporting ethics and compliance programs, including conflicts of interest, code of conduct, investigations, anti-bribery, or related corporate initiatives.
• Experience advising publicly traded companies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the conflict of interest program, including reviews and mitigation plans.
• Provide legal counsel on ethics, compliance, anti-bribery, and corporate conduct issues.
• Serve as an advisor on ethics policies, procedures, and inquiries.
• Manage the Ethics Help Line and Ethics Office mailbox, ensuring timely review.
• Conduct or oversee internal investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop, deliver, and maintain ethics and compliance training programs and communications.
• Identify compliance risks with cross-functional stakeholders and support mitigation.
• Assist in developing and enhancing ethics policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on impacts.
• Manage outside counsel and external resources on sensitive matters.
