Job summary

WD is seeking a Deputy Chief Compliance Officer to oversee the global Ethics & Compliance program, investigations, anti-corruption, and reporting. You will drive strategy-to-execution, manage a high‑performing team, and partner with Legal, Finance, and HR across geographies.

The role emphasizes governance, training, and a culture of integrity, with in-office presence required. Experience in AI governance, privacy, and international trade compliance is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
• At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in ethics and compliance, legal, investigations, risk management, or a related field.
• Significant experience overseeing or managing a global or multinational compliance program.
• Demonstrated experience in compliance program operations, corporate investigations, ethics reporting and whistleblower systems.
• Strong executive presence, judgment, and communication skills; ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across geographies.
• Ability to manage and develop compliance professionals; comfortable with cross-functional leadership.
• Daily presence in office; not a remote role; in-office schedule noted (Mon, Wed, Thu).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the global Ethics & Compliance program.
• Translate compliance strategy into operational plans, objectives, and execution.
• Develop and manage annual compliance work plans, budgets, metrics, and dashboards.
• Establish roles, processes, and accountability across the compliance team.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, technology, reporting, and governance.
• Coordinate risk assessments, program reviews, monitoring, and remediation activities.
• Prepare executive and Board-level compliance reports and presentations.
• Oversee investigations, whistleblower program, and anti-corruption compliance.
• Lead training and communications to strengthen ethical culture across the organization.
