Job summary

WP Engine, a global WordPress technology company, is seeking a Principal Global Compensation Manager to design and lead our worldwide compensation programs. This senior individual contributor role sits in Total Rewards and partners with executives to align pay with business strategy in a distributed workforce.

You will translate business goals into competitive pay structures, drive annual cycles in Workday Advanced Compensation, and advance pay transparency across regions, including US and EU

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive compensation experience in high-tech/SaaS industries.
• At least 3 years in a lead advisory capacity.
• Hands-on Workday Advanced Compensation configuration.
• Strong knowledge of global compensation structures and regulatory environments.
• Proven ability to model pay scenarios and influence executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evolve, and lead global cash, bonus, and equity compensation strategies.
• Ensure pay transparency readiness and compliance with EU and US laws.
• Oversee annual global merit, promotion, and equity cycles in Workday.
• Support executive compensation design and equity modeling with senior leaders.
• Lead job architecture evolution and geographic salary structuring.
• Advise EE Business Partners on compensation decisions and talent retention.
• M&A due diligence and post-merger compensation integration.
