Job summary

Cognite seeks a Compensation & Benefits Director to own global compensation philosophy, strategy, and governance, partnering with the CHRO and CFO. You’ll shape frameworks for base salary, bonus, equity, and long-term incentives across multiple geographies.

The role combines strategic finance and people experience, leading annual reviews, equity planning, and incentive design while ensuring regulatory compliance and data-driven decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Compensation/Total Rewards with global scope and leadership.
• Expertise in international compensation practices including executive pay and incentives; experience with equity pools and board reporting.
• Experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS environment; advisory experience at C-suite or Board level.
• Experience designing compensation frameworks across multiple geographies, including pay transparency and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own global compensation strategy, architecture, and geographies.
• Design and refine annual bonus structures and incentive frameworks.
• Lead end-to-end execution of compensation programs: annual reviews, bonus processing, equity planning.
• Partner with HRBP, Finance, and executive leadership to align incentive models with Cognite’s strategy.
• Ensure governance, auditability, and data integrity across compensation systems.
