Job summary

Cognite in the United States is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Director to own global compensation philosophy, strategy, and governance. This leadership role partners with senior leaders to attract, retain, and reward talent across geographies as Cognite scales.

You will lead equity and incentive design, drive cross-functional alignment with Finance and HRBP, and ensure compliant, auditable processes while supporting public-company readiness.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in Compensation, Total Rewards, or related disciplines with global scope.
• Expertise in international compensation practices including executive pay and incentive design.
• Experience in high-growth technology or SaaS environments with advisory exposure to C-suite/Board.
• Experience designing compensation frameworks across geographies with pay transparency and compliance.
• 3-4 days hybrid in Tempe, AZ, with willingness to travel if required.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve global compensation strategy and architecture.
• Design and refine annual bonus and incentive frameworks across populations.
• Oversee end-to-end execution of global compensation programs and governance.
• Collaborate with Finance, HRBP, and leadership to align planning with budgets and forecasts.
• Report to CHRO/CFO and prepare materials for Board/Compensation Committee.
