Job summary

Cognite is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Director to own the global compensation philosophy, strategy, and governance. You will partner with senior leaders and finance to align the compensation program with growth and shareholder value, while driving equity, incentives, and transparency across geographies.

You will report to the VP, People Operations & Rewards and collaborate with the CHRO and CFO to scale programs for a public-company trajectory in a fast‑growing technology environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in Compensation, Total Rewards, or related disciplines with global scope and leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in international compensation practices and frameworks including executive pay and incentive design.
• Background in a high-growth technology or SaaS environment, with advisory experience at C-suite or Board level.
• Experience designing compensation across geographies with pay transparency and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own global compensation strategy and architecture aligned with growth and shareholder value.
• Design and govern annual bonus and equity/incentive programs across populations.
• Lead end-to-end operational execution of compensation programs and governance.
• Collaborate with Finance, HRBP, and leadership to align planning with budgets and forecasts.
• Provide data-driven insights to senior leadership and the Board.
