Job summary

Cognite is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Director to own Cognite’s global compensation philosophy, strategy, and governance. You will partner with the VP People Operations & Rewards, CHRO, and CFO to shape models across base pay, bonus, and equity in a fast-growing tech environment.

You will lead multi-geography design, ensure regulatory compliance, and scale processes with modern tools, driving performance and talent strategy while maintaining auditable controls.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in Compensation, Total Rewards, or related disciplines, with global scope and direct program leadership.
• Expertise in international compensation practices including executive pay and incentive design.
• Experience in a high-growth technology/SaaS environment with advisory work at C-suite/Board level.
• Experience designing and governing compensation across multiple geographies with pay transparency and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the global compensation strategy and architecture, aligning with business growth and talent strategy.
• Design and refine annual bonus structures and equity/incentive programs for diverse populations.
• Oversee end-to-end compensation execution: annual reviews, bonuses, equity planning, promotions.
• Partner with Finance, HRBP, and executives to ensure compensation planning aligns with budgets and forecasts.
