Job summary

Cognite seeks a Compensation & Benefits Director to own global compensation philosophy, strategy, and governance. This high-impact role reports to the VP, People Operations & Rewards and partners with CHRO and CFO. Global footprint includes the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific as Cognite scales its growth.

You will evolve compensation frameworks across geographies, drive equity and incentive programs, and lead end-to-end operational execution with governance and analytics at the core.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of global compensation experience leading programs.
• Expertise in international compensation and executive pay.
• Experience with equity pools and Board-level reporting.
• Hybrid Tempe AZ 3-4 days/week in office and travel willingness.
• Experience in tech/SaaS high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Own global compensation strategy and architecture.
• Design annual bonuses and incentive frameworks.
• Oversee end-to-end compensation operations including annual reviews and equity planning.
• Partner with Finance, HRBP, and executives to align with budgets.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and auditability.
• Lead with data analytics and market intelligence.
