Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Global Commodity Specialist to drive strategic sourcing across its aerospace operations. You will manage RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives while partnering with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams.

Remote work structure supports global initiatives with travel ~30%. Ideal candidates have a background in manufacturing procurement, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), and knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3–7 years in strategic sourcing or procurement within manufacturing.
• Experience managing RFx processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP).
• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management.
• Cost analysis, PPV, VA/VE, or should-cost experience.
• Understanding of contract management and supplier agreements.
• Knowledge of global markets and supply chain risk.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturing requirements.
• Proficient with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Excel; Power BI a plus.
• Regulatory familiarity (ITAR/EAR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects under the Global Commodity Senior Manager.
• Manage end-to-end RFx processes: supplier ID, market analysis, bid solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award.
• Support global sourcing initiatives, supplier consolidation, licensing support.
• Align sourcing with global commodity strategies and business objectives.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through PPV, VA/VE, and should-cost analysis.
• Develop and manage supplier agreements; handle pricing updates and terms.
• Ensure compliance with commercial terms and risk objectives.
• Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost and service.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Deploy sourcing decisions across Ontic locations; provide market intelligence.
